I played all characters for long hours of gameplay; basically, the Contra unit line is a classic balance of power and agility. Lucia is best suited for boss fights with her advanced agility and weapons. Sheena is a melee specialist with satisfied agility and different weapons from the Contra unit, a particular choice for some players; Browny is a highly mobile one; the only one who can perform triple jump+air dash and then air grappling ability, with 2 more special load-outs (M is impressive), a typical hit-and-run type. Ariana can be an alternative choice of Contra unit despite her unique movement style if players are ok with it in extended journey gameplay; Stanley is the most formidable role in the game, with 4 life bars by default, armed with a sonic jetpack and grappling ability. It is not recommended for players to play one hit kill feature as Stanley due to his awful ability for install dodging attacks; the final one, Bradley is a true weapon specialist, with entirely different load-outs from the Contra unit; it also can perform power melee attacks and 4 health bars by default. Still, its mobility sucks, especially in boss fights.

Dreamcast tiene mejor calidad grafica son mejores las texturas en general, los colores y efectos tambien, las sombras de los personajes son hechas con poligonos algunas otras no, pero son dinamicas. mientras que en gamecube son solo texturas pegadas debajo del personaje ojo en esto. en general es mejor la version original de DC. Me sorprende esto por que GameCube es más potente que Dreamcast pero parece que la DC es la Reyna en texturas de calidad.

Music oddities aside for the Switch version, I bet it could be made to run at locked 60fps natively/on real hardware, plus the port is a 32-bit game (like most of those from Wi U games) and has no imediately visible improvemenst on the graphical and physics engine. On the graphics for example, there is a few tweaks to character's mouth animations, very simple dynamic shadows and possibly bump maps, but only for certain environment models if so. The characters who got their models ported from 3 got a lot of downgrades from them to match the 2/DM engine and animations/skeleton set, but certain textures or at least their colors/brightness were not changed to match with the lighting from 2, so they end up looking a tad bit darker than they should (notably Luigi's dark brown shoes and grey gloves) as result of being models made with 3's brighter and more detailed lighting and such on its engine in mind. I think even if some improvements were done to the graphics engine and the port was properly adapted into a 64-bit game, it could very well run at locked 60fps. Especially when you look at another game for example, Hyrule Warriors, which coudn't go over 30fps on wii u and had several drops often, but as a 64-bit port on Switch it runs at 60fps most of, if not all the time.

Kind of interesting a few of Cranky's lines in the intro are from the instruction booklet of the original DKC2. I remember in the booklet he has a bunch of wise ass remarks about how bad the story is and that the are scraping the bottom of the barrel as well as other general insults about the animal buddies DK, etc.

I was shocked when one of the late game missions in the snow area the frame rate kicked up to 60, it did put me off a bit not in a bad way but having inconsistent frame rate where few parts are 60fps tho it can make the user feel slightly happy, it does feel slightly annoying for me personally. It's not a very big deal breaker but it is something that just sticks with you in your head.

This is the first time I am using my modified new3DS XL which has Loopy's USB capture installed. My black old3DS from 2012 is still working but the rubber on the thumbstick has worn off :(

27:06 I don’t know if anyone mentioned this, but that chime sound is missing, due to a bug, when you open up the cave southwest of Lake Hylia, using a bomb, which has Mini-Moldorms inside. Opening up that cave disables the chime for the portal that leads to the Ice Palace. A patch exists to fix this, but only on an SNES ROM. Just thought I’d pass this along.
